Well, we may not be the most social – that honor goes to recruiters – but, marketers did garner six of the top 10 spots on this year’s NetProspex Social Business Report.
High level marketers/CMOs, events, product/market management, creative, advertising and communications/public relations all made the “Top 10 Most Social Jobs” list this year.
The least social? Records management, which, believe it or not, ranked just above board member.
To arrive at these rankings, NetProspex analyzed 12 million contacts from its business contact database. It factored in “social presence” (the number of profiles on Twitter of profiles on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook registered with a business email address) and “social connectedness” (the number of Twitter followers, Facebook friends, and LinkedIn connections) to arrive at a number it dubbed the NetProspex Social Index Score (NPSI).
(This year NetProspex added a Twitter component to every category because of the explosion of Twitter use.)
